Worst week of my life. Seeing my son deploy was just horrible. Now the real wait begins, I guess. He has strong support from the Temple he goes to so that’s good. Those guys are so so young.

If he will be in Iraq over the holidays, my religious school class as one of their mitzvah projects will be sending care packages and letters to Jewish service members deployed abroad.  I’d very much like his APO so we can hook a brother up, and give him a little slice of home.

I will earnestly pray for his and his unit’s safety.

He’ll be there until next April. He refused to have a Bar Mitzva when he was 13, but now is studying for it for when he comes back!
