Greeting all,

Does anyone know if Chabad performs Modern Orthodox conversions?  I am, much like the SSgt in the previous post, considering an Orthodox conversion and Chabad’s outreach certainly makes it accessible.  As of now, I have converted into the Conservative movement, but I am looking to make a deeper immersion into the Jewish culture.  One of my concerns, after much reading, is the reverence of Rebbe Schneersohn.  Is it a requirement of Chabad conversion that one accepts the late Rebbe as Moshiach?  My apologies in advance, I understand that it is a sensitive subject and it is not my intention to offend people. If you want to proceed with an Orthodox conversion Chabad is certainly not your only option. If you have issues with some of their positions (and I am not passing any judgement on any position held by any group, “these and these are the words of The Living God"), then you should contact a local Orthodox Rabbi (if you have one near you), and he can put you in contact with the local Bais Din that handles conversions.
