Greeting all,

Does anyone know if Chabad performs Modern Orthodox conversions?  I am, much like the SSgt in the previous post, considering an Orthodox conversion and Chabad’s outreach certainly makes it accessible.  As of now, I have converted into the Conservative movement, but I am looking to make a deeper immersion into the Jewish culture.  One of my concerns, after much reading, is the reverence of Rebbe Schneersohn.  Is it a requirement of Chabad conversion that one accepts the late Rebbe as Moshiach?  My apologies in advance, I understand that it is a sensitive subject and it is not my intention to offend people. Thanks to all and Happy Purim!

V/R,
MIDN T

Those are questions you should ask Chabad. http://www.chabad.org/
If you want to proceed with an Orthodox conversion Chabad is certainly not your only option. If you have issues with some of their positions (and I am not passing any judgement on any position held by any group, “these and these are the words of The Living God"), then you should contact a local Orthodox Rabbi (if you have one near you), and he can put you in contact with the local Bais Din that handles conversions.
