I hoping someone out there knows their stuff.

I am trying to put together a Rosh Hashana service for the boat I’m on (we don’t have a Jewish Chaplain near and we’ll be out to sea this year).  However, my Bar Mitzvah studies never really prepared me for this.  Any recommendations on putting together a Shabbot service (what are the more important parts of the service I should hit, how can I keep it to about 30 mins, any alternatives out there if we don’t have a shofar)

Appreciate the help!

I’d suggest the Rosh Hashanah/Yom Kippur Survival Guide.  It’s a ‘first aid kit’ for the Holidays!

For prayers:  Guide to Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur as well as the Machzor in Hebrew/English.

In a pinch, the Complete Siddur from Artscroll will do.

Some of these items as well as shofars are available from the DLA/DSCP.

Contact for ordering info.

Dee,
Thanks for the help.  Couple of questions:  Whats the DLA/DSCP?  Do you have a website?

Our website is http://www.judaicatreasures.com.

You’d get better prices (and shipping is included) by the DLA.  Contact Maryann Bonk for ordering information, as they are changing their website.  Email her at .
