I have just joined the Air Force as a nurse midwife. I am an orthodox Jew with 4 kids and we are being sent to Travis in California. Can anyone tell me where the closest Jewish community is to there? Also does anyone know where is the closest hebrew day school?We are very excited about our new life and can’t wait to begin!
What else can people tell me about Jewish life in the Air Force?
I spoke to a retired orthodox chaplain from the army before I joined up he told me a lot of info about general life and helped me make the final decision to join.
